This post exemplifies my ability to access my book because it shows how I made predictions and how they came true but also how the author put a twist in the story so it’s not too predictable. This blog post also shows how I analyze the characters. In the book Tris’ brother also decides to leave his family and become part of another faction which really surprised me because by the way that Tris described him, it seemed like he completely belonged in Abnegation.

The goals I have for next trimester in reading are to read at least two books because this trimester I only finished one and read at least 50-75 pages a week.  For writing my goal is to keep up with my blog and do a minimum of three posts a week about my books. Next trimester some areas of improvements in reading are I want to work on is not putting off the blog until last minute but instead read throughout the week and then keep up with my blog throughout the week too. Some areas of improvements in writing I want to improve on adding more detail to my writing as well as use more figurative language throughout my writing to further explain my reading.

Divergent 14

Now Tris is also having trouble with some of the other members of her faction. They talk about her, make fun of her and bully her but she has her friends there to support her when she needs them.

Divergent 11

I think that Tris will continue to struggle in learning how to fight because all growing up her morals were completely different. i think that since she didn't have a partner for the fight she will have to go up against either Four or Eric, the Leader of the faction.

Divergent 10

Tris is still fighting to be less selfless. she is having an internal conflict as her only friend gets in a fight and is forced by the faction leader to hold on the edge near a river for 5 minutes. worrying about what could happen if she helped, she decides not to help until 5 minutes is up and she helps her up the ledge.

Divergent 9

Tris is having some problems catching up so some of the other people in her training class. Four, the instructor, told her that she should use her elbows and knees for fighting because she didn't have a lot of muscle. she has to get used to doing something and try it out a few times before she can do it well which holds her back.

Divergent 8

Beatrice changed her name to Tris and decided to get a tattoo. she thought it would help her move on and forget about her family and only look forward to the future. She got 3 ravens for her tattoo to represent each family member that she left behind; her mom, dad, and brother.

Divergent 7

Beatrice is starting to work towards her goal but is struggling. when they learn how to shoot guns, it takes her a lot of clips for her to hit the target and she is starting to lose hope that she will reach her goal.

Divergent 6

My book got more interesting, the main character got into her faction and made it to her new home. she just got some shocking news and dosnt know how to react, but she is taking it better than some of the other newbes. whiile they are crying shse is trying to prove that she is strong and that she can make it other wise she would become factionless and would have to do work that no one else wants to do while at the same time not belonging. this is her motovation and she knows that she can make it.

The main charachter, Beatrice just chose to become Dauntless, which means my prediction was correct because i guessed that she would decide to leave her family. Wat suprised me though is when her brother was talking to her about how sometimes you have to think about what you want he was also talking about himself since he also chose to leave their parents. Tis says a lot about him because he is nothing like what beatrice thought he was, he isnt as selfless as she thought and she looked up to hm for that, and now he whole image of him has changed.

my book is starting to get really interesting. the main character has to make one of her biggest decions because she became a divergent and did not belong to one faction. she has to pick between staying with her family or leaving them.

Divergent 3

Beatrice, the main character starts off wanting so desperately to be an Abnegation like the rest of her family so that she would not upset the. she also wanted to be like her brother who was completely selfless in her eyes. but now that she got her test results as a divergent (not belonging to a single faction) she get to choose, will she leave her family and pretend to be someone shes not or will she stay and not be her true self? i think she will leave her family as this would make for a more interesting book.

Divergent 2

The 5 groups, or factions in the book Divergent are Abnegation, Erudite, Dauntless, Amity, and Candor. The main character's brother is an Annegation. for every faction there is different uniforms, values, talents and requirements which each member must follow. right now it is unclear which faction the main character, Beatrice, will pick.

Divergent

       I started a new book called Divergent. From the cover and the first couple of pages i believe that it takes place in the near future or present. the main character is about to take a test which will decide the rest of her life and being 16 she has a lot to live for. There are  groups the she can be put in and she is being forced to choose. i believe that she will have a lot of problems with the group she chooses and will have to overcome them.

Serpants Shadow 2

       I finished my book and they were able to dferfeat the serpant. The theme of the book i believe was if you work together you can achieve anything because the demigods had to work with the gods in order to be able to kill the serpant. i think that there will be another book because it ended on a cliff hanger where they are being attacked by more monsters and the main character becomes a king.

The Serpants Shadow

       The book that i am reading is called The Serpants Shadow by Rick Rioridan. I am towards the end of the book but I believe that the main charaters will be able to fight off the giant serpant. I also believe that it with take a lot of phisical and mental strain to be able to do it even though they have magic and the help of the egyptian gods. I can't really relate to the main charater because he has a completely different perspective on life, he can see monsters, he has magical powers and is the son of a god, so he is a lot differnt from me. This book is like the world now because it happens in modern times and uses egyption mythology to explain some events from the past.
